Chandigarh/Sanghol-Times/ 02 October,2024 – – Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu has come out with a big statement regarding the incidents of keeping death objects on railway tracks in the country. Let us tell you that the incidents of keeping gas cylinder iron girders, fire extinguishers etc. are increasing all over the country including Punjab. RPF and central agencies are on alert based on confidential inputs from Railway Intelligence. Ravneet Singh Bittu has given a statement regarding these matters. Union Minister Bittu said that anti-social elements are harassing on the railway track. He said that most cases of stowage on railway tracks involved local miscreants. The investigation into the above cases was handed over to the NIA. The NIA is also probing whether these incidents are being done to harm the railways. Meanwhile, the farmers’ organizations of Punjab have announced to jam the railway track for 03 hours at 35 places on October 3, on which Ravneet Singh Bittu said that the farmers will have to bear the loss of stopping the railway tracks. In response to this question, Bittu said that the Punjab government has blocked the acquisition of land for laying 20 kilometers of railway track between Chandigarh and Rajpura. It is worth mentioning that Ferozepur Division has no direct connection with Chandigarh. Due to the 20 km track between Chandigarh and Rajpura, the trains coming from Bathinda have to come first to Ambala and then to Chandigarh.
