ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਚਨ ਗਾਰਡਨ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਲਪ ਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਲਾਭਪਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ ਦੀ ਗੁਣਵੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਧਤਾ ‘ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਰਾਜ ਖੁਰਾਕ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਬਾਲ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦੌਰੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਐਸ.ਏ.ਐਸ.ਨਗਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਖੁਰਾਕ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਐਕਟ ਤਹਿਤ ਚਲਾਈਆਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਲਾਭਪਾਤਰੀ ਸਕੀਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਾਇਜ਼ਾ ਲਿਆ।
ਗੁਣਵੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਧਤਾ ‘ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਰਾਜ ਖੁਰਾਕ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਖੁਰਾਕ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਤਹਿਤ ਵੰਡੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ ਦੀ ਸੈਂਪਲਿੰਗ ਸਮੇਂ-ਸਮੇਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅਨਾਜ ਜਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਭੋਜਨ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ ਦੀ ਗੁਣਵੱਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।
ਮਿਡ ਡੇ ਮੀਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਜ਼ਾ ਉਪਜ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਚਨ ਗਾਰਡਨ ਦਾ ਸੰਕਲਪ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਸੁਝਾਅ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਤਾਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਸਬਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਪੌਸ਼ਟਿਕ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੋਜਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਧੋਣ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਤੇ ਵੀ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਸਿਹਤ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਡਾ. ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵੜਿੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਡਾਕਟਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਬਾਲ ਸਿਹਤ ਕਾਰਜਕ੍ਰਮ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਂਗਣਵਾੜੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਏ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਜ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ। ਨਜ਼ਰ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ, ਦੰਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਲਾਜ, ਅਨੀਮਿਕ (ਖ਼ੂਨ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ) ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਿਹਤ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ਤੇ ਇਲਾਜ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ।
ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ (ਐਲੀਮੈਂਟਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਮਿੱਤਲ ਨੇ ਮਿਡ ਡੇ ਮੀਲ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਸਕੂਲ ਯੂ ਕੇ ਜੀ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਠਵੀਂ ਜਮਾਤ ਤੱਕ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮਕਾਜੀ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਿਤ ਮੀਨੂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਮਿਡ ਡੇ ਮੀਲ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ 659 ਅੱਪਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਇਮਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਇਮਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਹਨ।
ਡੀ ਐਫ ਐਸ ਸੀ ਨਵਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਫੂਡ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਾਰਟ ਰਾਸ਼ਨ ਕਾਰਡ ਦੀ ਪੀ ਐਚ ਐਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ ਅਧੀਨ 4,59,392 ਲਾਭਪਾਤਰੀ ਹਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਅੰਨਤੋਦਿਆ ਅੰਨ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਤਹਿਤ 1,21,419 ਲਾਭਪਾਤਰੀ ਹਨ। ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਤਿਮਾਹੀ ਲਈ ਤਿਮਾਹੀ ਵੰਡ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਦਸੰਬਰ ਤੱਕ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ, eKYC ਵੀ ਚੱਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ 69 ਪ੍ਰਤੀਸ਼ਤ ਟੀਚਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ।
ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਗਗਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਸਪਲੀਮੈਂਟਰੀ ਨਿਊਟ੍ਰੀਸ਼ਨਲ ਫੂਡ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਗਤੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਆਂਗਣਵਾੜੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਸਕੀਮ ਅਧੀਨ ਕੁੱਲ 53,000 ਲਾਭਪਾਤਰੀ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਮਾਵਾਂ, ਦੁੱਧ ਪਿਲਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ 0-3 ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਨਵਜੰਮੇ ਬੱਚੇ 31,000 ਹਨ।
ਰਾਜ ਖੁਰਾਕ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਨੇ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਹੈਲਪਲਾਈਨ ਨੰਬਰ; 98767-64545, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ; ਜਿੱਥੇ ਲਾਭਪਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਜਾਂ ਐਕਟ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਦੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੋਵੇ।
ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਆਸ਼ਿਕਾ ਜੈਨ ਨੇ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਬਾਲ ਬੁਕੰਦ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਖੁਰਾਕ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਐਕਟ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ-ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਏ.ਡੀ.ਸੀ.(ਡੀ) ਸੋਨਮ ਚੌਧਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਐਕਟ ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਨਿਵਾਰਣ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।

State Food Commission Chairman Reviews Food Security Act Implementation in SAS Nagar District

Emphasizes on quality and purity of the food material given to the beneficiaries besides exploring the option of Kitchen Gardens in Schools

SAS Nagar, November 26, 2024:
Punjab State Food Commission, Chairman, Bal Mukand Sharma took stock of the beneficiary schemes being run under the National Food Security Act in the SAS Nagar district during his maiden visit.
Emphasizing quality and purity, the State Food Commission Chairman said that the sampling of the material being distributed under the Food Security Act should be done randomly to ensure the quality of the food grains or other ingredients.
Suggesting for the introduction of concept of Kitchen gardens in the Schools to use the produce in the Mid Day Meal, he said that the fresh veggies may be more nutritional for the students. He also stressed to make the students aware of the importance of washing of hands properly before and after the meal.
He asked the District Health Officer Dr Amrit Warring, present in the meeting to ensure the health checkup of the students and children enrolled in the Anganwaris through the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karakaram Teams of Doctors to further check whether they need any kind of treatment like provision of spects for vision problem, Dental Treatment, Anemic and other health issues.
District Education Officer (Elementary Education), Prem Mittal submitted the report on Mid Day Meals and said that all the Government and Aided Schools provide Mid Day Meals as per the pre-decided menu to the students starting from UKG to Eighth classes on all working days. He said that the district has 659 upper primary and primary schools.
DFSC Navreet Kaur apprised the Food Commission Chairman that there are 4,59,392 beneficiaries under Smart Ration Card’s PHH category while 1,21,419 under Antodya Ann Yojna in the district. The quarterly distribution has been starting for the existing quarter which would be completed by December. Similarly, the eKYC is also underway and so far 69 percent target has been achieved.
District Programme Officer, Gagandeep Singh while presenting the progress of Supplementary Nutritional Food, said that there are a total of 53,000 beneficiaries under the scheme in the Anganwaris of the district, out of which Pregnant Mothers, Lactating Mothers and 0-3 Years infants constitute 31,000.
The State Food Commission Chairman directed the concerned officials to display the helpline number of the Commission; 98767-64545, at all the locations where the beneficiaries are given the benefits to make a complaint, in case of any default or violation.
Deputy Commissioner Mrs Aashika Jain assured the Chairman, Sh Bal Bukand Sharma of the full adherence to all the guidelines of the National Food Security Act in the district and said that the ADC (D) Sonam Chaudhary, has already been designated as the District Grievance Officer, under the Act.
