Chandigarh/SANGHOL-TIMES/KEWAL-BHARTI/HARMINDER-NAGPAL/01OCT.2025: आयुर्वेद एवं आयुष से जुडी अन्य चिकित्सा पद्धितियों के बारे में आम जनता को अभी और अधिक जागरूक करना जरूरी है, ताकि लोग अधिक से अधिक संख्या में आयुष से जुडी चिकित्सा पद्धितियों को अपनाकर लाभान्वित हो सकें। उन्होंने कहा कि इसके लिए सोशल मीडिया के माध्यमों का भरपूर इस्तेमाल करना चाहिए व आयुर्वेद तथा अन्य चिकित्सा पद्धितियों से इलाज करवा कर ठीक हो चुके मरीजों के बारे में ज्यादा से ज्यादा प्रचार-प्रसार करना चाहिए, तभी आमजन इन चिकित्सा पद्धितियों की तरफ आकर्षित होंगे।
ये कहना था राज्यसभा सांसद सतनाम सिंह संधू का, जो आज आयुष्मान आरोग्य मंदिर (एएएम), सेक्टर 37 में सेवा पखवाड़ा के तहत आयोजित निशुल्क चिकित्सा शिविर, योग कार्यशाला, स्वच्छता अभियान व पौधारोपण अभियान में भाग लेने पहुंचे थे। यहाँ उनका स्वागत चण्डीगढ़ के आयुष निदेशक एवं स्पेशल सेक्रेटरी, हेल्थ अखिल कुमार, दानिक्स, संयुक्त निदेशक डॉ. एनएस भारद्वाज एवं असिस्टेंट डायरेक्टर, होम्योपैथी डॉ. मंजूश्री, एएएम, सेक्टर 37 के प्रभारी तथा स्टेट लाइसेंसिंग अथॉरिटी व वरिष्ठ आयुर्वेदिक चिकित्सक डॉ. राजीव कपिला, ड्रग इंस्पेक्टर व वरिष्ठ आयुर्वेदिक चिकित्सक डॉ. आरती वर्मा ने किया।
शिक्षाविद् सतनाम सिंह संधू, जो चण्डीगढ़ यूनिवर्सिटी (सीयू) के चाँसलर भी हैं, ने इस अवसर पर उपस्थित जनों को सम्बोधित करते हुए कहा कि भारत की पुरानी चिकित्सा पद्धतियों और आयुर्वेद के तरीकों में ही बीमारियों को जड़ से समाप्त करने की क्षमता है। उन्होंने एएएम, सेक्टर 37 में उपलब्ध सुविधाओं का निरीक्षण भी किया तथा आयुर्वेद की पद्धतियों, पंचकर्म और 35 अन्य प्रकार की प्रणालियों से मरीजों के इलाज और आम जनमानस को मिल रहे लाभ को करीब से देखा।
उन्होंने कहा कि एएएम, सेक्टर 37 को 20 बिस्तर वाले नैचुरोपैथी अस्पताल के तौर पर अपग्रेड करने की प्रशासन की योजना को जल्द से जल्द अमलीजामा पहनाने के लिए वे भी पूरा जोर लगाएंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी द्वारा स्वास्थ्य के क्षेत्र में अनेक पहले की गई हैं जिनमें आयुष्मान भारत सबसे अधिक क्रांतिकारी योजना साबित हुई व आम जनता को पांच लाख रुपए तक का इलाज मुफ्त मिलना सम्भव हो पाया। सतनाम सिंह संधू ने कहा कि भारत में जितने लोग इस योजना से लाभ पा रहे हैं, उतनी तो कई देशों की कुल आबादी भी नहीं है।
इस दौरान होम्योपैथिक मेडिकल ऑफिसर डॉ. गौरव कौशल, होम्योपैथिक मेडिकल ऑफिसर डॉ. हर्षदीप कौर, आयुर्वेदिक मेडिकल ऑफिसर डॉ. श्रुति, डॉ. अगम कटारिया, डॉ. अरुण कपिला, डॉ. दिलप्रीत, डॉ. शेषणा, डॉ. दिवांशी के साथ-साथ चण्डीगढ़ भाजपा से संजय वर्मा, मनु भसीन, प्रिंस भांडूला, संजीव ग्रोवर, मुकेश शर्मा, वरिष्ठ साहित्यकार प्रेम विज व सीनियर सिटिज़न एसोसिएशन, सेक्टर 37 के अध्यक्ष देवेंद्र चौधरी आदि भी मौजूद रहे।

Only India’s Ancient Healing Methods and Ayurveda Have the Power to Eliminate Diseases from the Root: Satnam Singh Sandhu
Chandigarh/SANGHOL-TIMES/KEWAL-BHARTI/HARMINDER-NAGPAL/01OCT.,2025: It is essential to make the general public more aware about Ayurveda and other AYUSH systems of medicine so that a larger number of people adopt these practices and benefit from them. For this, social media platforms must be used effectively, and success stories of patients cured through Ayurveda and other traditional systems should be widely promoted. Only then will the masses be drawn towards these medical practices.
These were the words of Rajya Sabha MP Satnam Singh Sandhu, who attended the free medical camp, yoga workshop, cleanliness drive, and plantation campaign organized under Seva Pakhwada at Ayushman Arogya Mandir (AAM), Sector 37, Chandigarh today.
He was welcomed by Akhil Kumar (DANICS), AYUSH Director and Special Secretary, Health, Chandigarh, along with Dr. N.S. Bhardwaj (Joint Director), Dr. Manjushree (Assistant Director, Homeopathy), Dr. Rajiv Kapila (In-charge of AAM Sector 37, State Licensing Authority and Senior Ayurvedic Physician), and Dr. Aarti Verma (Drug Inspector and Senior Ayurvedic Physician).
Satnam Singh Sandhu, an eminent educationist and Chancellor of Chandigarh University (CU), while addressing the gathering, said that only India’s ancient healing systems and Ayurvedic methods have the capability to eradicate diseases from the root. He also inspected the facilities available at AAM Sector 37 and observed the treatments being provided to the public through Ayurveda, Panchkarma, and 35 other therapeutic systems.
He assured that he would make every possible effort to ensure that the plan to upgrade AAM Sector 37 into a 20-bedded Naturopathy Hospital is implemented soon. He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has initiated several measures in the field of health, among which the Ayushman Bharat Yojana has proven to be the most revolutionary. It has made it possible for the common man to avail free treatment worth up to ₹5 lakh.
Sandhu highlighted that the number of people benefiting from this scheme in India is larger than the entire population of many countries.
The event also witnessed the presence of Dr. Gaurav Kaushal (Homeopathic Medical Officer), Dr. Harshdeep Kaur (Homeopathic Medical Officer), Dr. Shruti (Ayurvedic Medical Officer), Dr. Agam Kataria, Dr. Arun Kapila, Dr. Dilpreet, Dr. Sheshna, Dr. Divanshi, along with BJP leaders Sanjay Verma, Manu Bhasin, Prince Bhandula, Sanjeev Grover, Mukesh Sharma, senior litterateur Prem Vij, and Devendra Chaudhary (President, Senior Citizens Association, Sector 37), among others.
