अमोल पालेकर, जनरल मनोज नरवणे, शोभा डे, पी. चिदंबरम और पूजा बेदी होंगे लिटफेस्ट के मुख्य आकर्षण

Chandigarh/SANGHOL-TIMES/KEWAL-BHARTI/09OCT,2025-: खुशवंत सिंह लिटफेस्ट (केएसएलएफ) अपने 14वें संस्करण के लिए पूरी तरह तैयार है। यह फेस्टिवल 10 अक्टूबर से 12 अक्टूबर तक कसौली क्लब में आयोजित किया जाएगा। रोजाना सत्र सुबह 9 बजे से शाम 5 बजे तक चलेंगे।

केएसएलएफ के डायरेक्टर राहुल सिंह ने इस बाबत आज चण्डीगढ़ प्रेस क्लब में आयोजित एक पत्रकार वार्ता में जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि इस वर्ष का विषय वॉइसेस ऑफ़ टुमारो-नेविगेटिंग द फ्यूचर थ्रू वर्ड्स रहेगा। उन्होंने बताया कि पिछले कई वर्षों से यह लिटफेस्ट पुस्तकों और समकालीन विषयों पर चर्चाओं के साथ आयोजित किया जाता आ रहा है। इसमें बुक लॉन्च, संवाद और ऐसी कई गतिविधियाँ शामिल होती हैं, जिनका उद्देश्य लोगों को साहित्य से जोड़ना और साहित्य को बढ़ावा देना है। यह फेस्टिवल राष्ट्र निर्माण में साहित्य के योगदान का संदेश भी देता है।

राहुल सिंह ने कहा कि यह फेस्टिवल एक बार फिर साहित्य, विचार और संवाद के माध्यम से भविष्य की आवाज़ों को सामने लाने का मंच बनेगा। इसके साथ ही वैश्विक और क्षेत्रीय अस्थिरता, जलवायु संकट जैसी उभरती समस्याओं के बीच नई सोच, नए दृष्टिकोण और भविष्य को फिर से कल्पित करने के विचार भी सामने आएंगे।
इस बार भी साहित्य, राजनीति, फिल्म जगत और अन्य क्षेत्रों की अनेक प्रसिद्ध हस्तियाँ, जिनमें नेता, अभिनेता और लेखक शामिल हैं,भाग लेंगी।

उन्होंने बताया कि केएसएलएफ ऐसे लेखकों, विचारकों और परिवर्तनकर्ताओं को एक साथ लाएगा, जो आने वाली पीढ़ी के विचारों को आकार दे रहे हैं और इनमें वे आवाज़ें भी शामिल रहेंगी जो सवाल उठाती हैं, चुनौती देती हैं और प्रेरित करती हैं।

फेस्टिवल डायरेक्टर राहुल सिंह ने कहा कि ये आयोजन केएसएलएफ के उस स्थायी विश्वास को दर्शाता है कि शब्दों में भविष्य को रोशन करने की शक्ति होती है।

राहुल सिंह ने केएसएलएफ की एक उल्लेखनीय उपलब्धि के बारे भी पत्रकारों को अवगत कराते हुए बताया कि इस साल गर्मियों में केएसएलएफ का सातवां लंदन संस्करण आयोजित हुआ और पहली बार इस समारोह का ऑक्सफोर्ड में पदार्पण हुआ।

फेस्टिवल टीम की सदस्य ऐश्वर्या कुमार ने पत्रकारों के समक्ष अपनी बात रखते हुए कहा कि केएसएलएफ एक उद्देश्यपूर्ण लिटफेस्ट है, जो मानव संस्कृतियों की समृद्धि, विविधता और खुशवंत सिंह द्वारा अपनाई गई मानवीय उदारता का उत्सव मनाता है।

उन्होंने बताया कि इस वर्ष के प्रमुख वक्ताओं और पैनलिस्टस में जनरल एम.एम. नरवणे, अमोल पालेकर, पी. चिदंबरम, शोभा डे, पूजा बेदी, ए.एस. दुलत, मणि शंकर अय्यर, पॉल वाटर्स, गिलियन राइट, हरिंदर बावेजा, संदीप भामेर, और संगीता वॉल्ड्रन आदि शामिल रहेंगे।

विभिन्न सत्रों में ग्रीन बिज़नेस, मानसिक स्वास्थ्य, विरासत, लैंगिकता और परोपकार जैसे विविध विषयों पर चर्चाएँ होंगी जिनमें मर्डर मिस्ट्री, जासूसी थ्रिलर, संस्मरण और आत्म-विकास जैसी विधाएँ शामिल हैं। इसके अलावा हर सुबह शास्त्रीय संगीत कार्यक्रम से शुरुआत होगी और शामें उत्साहपूर्ण प्रस्तुतियों से सजी होंगी। इस वर्ष के विशेष कलाकार रियर एडमिरल निर्मला कन्नन, ध्रुव केंट, राधिका सूद नायक, जूही बब्बर, सैयद अरमान अली और रेखा राज होंगे।

उन्होंने जानकारी दी कि इस समारोह के दौरान हर वक्ता के नाम पर एक पेड़ लगाया जाता है और अब तक 2000 से अधिक पेड़ लगाए जा चुके हैं।

Khushwant Singh Litfest Ready for Its Next Edition: Book Lovers and Thinkers to Gather in Kasauli from October 10 to 12

Chandigarh/SANGHOL-TIMES/KEWAL-BHARTI/09OCT,2025-: The Khushwant Singh Litfest (KSLF) is all set for its 14th edition. The festival will be held at the Kasauli Club from October 10 to October 12, with daily sessions scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

KSLF Director Rahul Singh shared details at a press conference organized at the Chandigarh Press Club today, announcing that this year’s theme will be “Voices of Tomorrow – Navigating the Future Through Words.” He said that for several years, this Litfest has been hosting discussions on books and contemporary issues, along with book launches, dialogues, and a variety of activities aimed at connecting people with literature and promoting literary culture. The festival also conveys the message of literature’s role in nation-building.

Rahul Singh said that once again, the festival will provide a platform to bring forth voices of the future through literature, ideas, and dialogue. In the backdrop of global and regional instability and challenges like the climate crisis, the event will bring fresh perspectives, new ideas, and reimagining of the future. This year too, many prominent figures from literature, politics, cinema, and other fields—including leaders, actors, and authors—will participate.

He added that KSLF will bring together writers, thinkers, and changemakers who are shaping the thoughts of the next generation, including voices that question, challenge, and inspire.

Festival Director Rahul Singh emphasized that this event reflects KSLF’s enduring belief that “words have the power to illuminate the future.”

Highlighting one of KSLF’s notable achievements, he informed the media that the festival successfully hosted its 7th London edition this summer, with its debut also held in Oxford for the first time.

Festival team member Aishwarya Kumar, while addressing the media, said that KSLF is a purposeful litfest that celebrates the richness and diversity of human cultures and the humanitarian generosity embodied by Khushwant Singh.

This year’s key speakers and panelists will include General M.M. Naravane, Amol Palekar, P. Chidambaram, Shobhaa De, Pooja Bedi, A.S. Dulat, Mani Shankar Aiyar, Paul Waters, Gillian Wright, Harinder Baweja, Sandeep Bhamer, and Sangeeta Waldron, among others.

The sessions will cover diverse subjects such as green business, mental health, heritage, gender, and philanthropy, along with genres like murder mysteries, spy thrillers, memoirs, and self-improvement. Each morning will begin with a classical music recital, while evenings will feature lively performances. This year’s special performers include Rear Admiral Nirmala Kannan, Dhruv Kent, Radhika Sood Nayak, Juhi Babbar, Syed Arman Ali, and Rekha Raj.

It was also shared that during the festival, a tree is planted in honor of every speaker, and more than 2,000 trees have been planted so far.
